COLLEGE DORM TOUR: Freshman Year 2018

The post you've all been waiting for is FINALLY here!
I've never had more requests to do a blog post in my life! It took me forever to figure out how to get my video to work and I will never be a YouTuber lol!

My dorm is not the cutest but I am still happy with how things turned out! My bedding is definitely my favorite part about the room! I feel like it represent my aesthetic so well! My rug is also one of my favorite parts of the room. I couldn't find the exact rug online but, I purchased it at At Home.
I feel like the picture wall is a statement of the room. The pictures are the first things people see when they visit my blog. I totally recommend a picture wall for a cheap and easy room decor option. In order for them to stay on the wall I used glue dots from Walmart. These are crucial because without them my pictures fell off of my wall while I was sleeping.

My Very Cringey Dorm Tour Video:

This post was a little stressful but in the end I am really happy to put this on the blog for you all! Thank you so much for visiting my blog!

Summer Red & Printed Pants

Hey there friends!

I wore this outfit out to lunch the other day with my friends Katelyn and Audrey. After lunch we decided to take some pictures and if you know me I love any excuse to take blog pictures!

I got this pair of printed pants last week kind of spontaneously but, I am so happy I got them! They are so comfortable and a fun statement to an outfit.  Sometimes printed pants can seem a little like pajamas so I really wanted the look to be put-together nicely while still remaining simple.

I highly recommend printed pants if you're a girl who loves to wear sweatpants but want to be a little more dressed up!

I hope you all enjoyed this post! See you next time!

Little Spring Dress

Hey friends! Today I have a super casual and fun spring look to share with you all.

This dress was purchased from Free People years ago and I still love it so much. The lightweight and flowy material is so perfect for a spring day out. Below I linked a couple of dresses that are similar to the one that I am wearing.
This day I was running errands around town so, I opted for my Brikenstock sandals instead of a pair of uncomfortable sandals.
For accessories I wore a black choker and these sunglasses from Urban Outfitters.

Thank you so much for visiting! I apologize for my lack of posts lately school and spring break have kept me pretty busy but, blogging is too fun to quit now!

Stylish Sneakers

  1. casual, comfortable clothing designed to be suitable both for exercise and everyday wear.

    "athleisure is perfect for traveling"
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Athleisure is HUGE in fashion right now and I love it! I love the ideas of mixing comfy workout gear with chic styles. So, today I put together a list of some of my favorite athleisure shoes perfect for the gym of the streets.

1. VANS SUEDE MOCK SHOES - These sneakers are perfect for any girl that can't exactly pull off the skater look of Vans. I love the fringe on the back of these shoes so much. They are just so cute!

2. SK8-HI VANS - I purchased these Vans a few weeks ago out of pure spontaneity. I didn't really think I would like them as much as I do but, I wear these shoes everywhere. They are so simple and easy to throw on with just about and casual outfit. I also really like the low top version of these shoes.

3. NIKE AIR MAX THEA - I love the color of these shoes in "Camo". I think that nude sneakers are so unique and simply fashionable. These sneakers would look great with light wash ripped jeans, a white tee, a cute cardigan, and some sunglasses.

4. PUMA BASKET SHOES - These shoes are so spring! I love the color and the platform of these shoes so much. They are so unique!

5. ADIDAS BOOST - I love love love these sneakers, especially in the taupe color shown above! I am really thinking about making these my next sneaker purchase! These are probably the most athletic sneakers of the list today. They look so cute with workout gear!

Cold Shoulder Shirt & Spring Transition Outfit

Spring is just around the corner, or if you live in Georgia like me it's already here. I have such a difficult time finding outfits to wear during changing seasons. This outfit is a really great idea for spring transitioning.

I purchased this pretty cold shoulder top from Shein last summer. This top is so cute and is also a nice jersey material that is lightweight and comfortable. In addition to the top, I wore a pair of suede boots and my favorite ripped jeans.

I hope you all have a lovely weekend! Thanks for visiting!

Valentine's Day Outfit featuring ED by Ellen

Hello my friends!
Today I am sharing a fun Valentine's look with you all!

It's not secret that I LOVE ED by Ellen and this sweater is no exception. I received this sweater for Christmas and I have been waiting for the perfect time to wear it. This sweater is not only adorable but also super soft and quality.

My love flats were obviously the perfect shoes for this outfit. I decided on a jean shirt under the sweater instead of plaid to make the look a little less Christmas-y. When I actually wear the right size in these jeans (lol), they are my absolute favorites.

I love how simple and classic this look is. You can definitely re-create it with items already in your closet as well!

I hope you all have a fabulous Valentine's Day!

Faux Fur Vest & Flare Jeans

Flare jeans have never really been my thing, until I received this fabulous pair from a company called Angels Forever Young. These jeans are so flattering and comfortable. I've been wearing so much lately with my favorite suede boots.

It is finally a little colder here in Georgia so I decided to add a fun faux fur vest and a cream cowl neck top. I have really been into monochromatic outfits lately! To tie the look all together I added my favorite Quay Australia sunglasses!

Thank you so much for reading, have a great day!

Halloween "Costume" 2016

Happy Halloween friends!

I found this shirt at Target last year and thought it was so funny! Especially because I will be at home watching The Voice instead of trick-or-treating.

Along with the shirt I added distressed denim and my ED by Ellen flats. For accessories I'm wearing my fedora and a fall lip color.

So yeah "this is my costume"
I hope you all have a fabulous Halloween!

White after Labor Day.

Hello, hello there! I hope your all having a great day.
So, there is this so called rule that says you "can't wear white after Labor Day" but I just broke every rule in the book!
Fall transitioning is always a struggle for me. I began to scroll through Instagram for some inspo and I saw Ellen DeGeneres wearing an all white outfit with a green military jacket. Yep, Ellen is the inspiration for today's look.
Thank you Ellen for the inspiration your amazing!
And, thank YOU guys for reading!

Boho chic for summer

Boho chic came back with a bang this season. Pinterest has been loaded with the Free People inspired look. So has every store I have walked into this summer.

However, the boho chic style isn't always my favorite. I am more of a bright and colorful dress type of gal. But for some reason I am obsessed with wrap around sandals and they were the inspiration for my outfit today.

Let's get into it!

Blouse: Nordstrom Rack (similar) Shorts: Old Navy Hat: Forever 21 Shoes: N/A Sunglasses: Urban Outfitters

I hope you enjoyed this summer look! This was the first time I ever shot with my new DSLR camera (it was so fun!). Be sure to look out for a DIY on these wrap around sandals.

DIY: Binder covers from old magazines.

Hi everyone! It's Kayla.

Today I am starting my back-to-school series on my blog. Over the next couple of weeks I will be sharing all types of fun back-to-school themed posts. I am starting with a DIY for your own binder covers.

These binder covers are an 8x10 take on and inspiration board. This is a super easy DIY and I had a blast making these!

What you'll need:
  • Old magazines, old agendas, or scrapbook papers
  • Scissors
  • A glue stick
  • Lastly, some plain binders

1. Start by cutting out some of your favorite things from the magazines. This was my favorite part! The magazines I picked were about three years old so it was fun to see all of the different styles and trends from 2012.

2. Now your ready to glue! I glued my pictures (just realized you could totally use polaroids!!) onto a piece of 8x10 printer paper. Make sure to organize your page the way that best makes sense to you.

3. Slide your super cool binder covers into your binder and you're ready to go!

I hope you enjoyed this super fun back to school DIY. Be sure to follow my blog to see the next posts in my back-to-school series.
